Arena Animation-Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology (Arena Animation-SAIT) organised an exciting knowledge sharing session on Monday, 20-12-21 at the beautiful campus of the institute where experts from the industry gave insights to the participants about new trends and developments of the VFX, VR and Entertainment and Media industry. The event was coordinated by the team of Arena Animation-SAIT and got an overwhelming response from the guests.
In this session, experts also shared a detailed account of the future prospects with the participants and how Arena Animation-SAIT would aid them in making a shining career in the field of Animation, VFX and VR. The participants also got the answers to their queries and curiosities and a chance to understand and experience VFX and VR more closely.
Speakers of the Event:
A Senior Career Advisor and Centre Manager of Arena Animation-SAIT, Trapti has experience of more than 10 years, working for different profiles in Animation and VFX education. She gave a brief introduction of the Entertainment and Media industry and what are the top-performing sectors in it. According to her, it is an industry where “Skills matter the most” and one needs to improvise his/her skills and brush the skills to be successful.
She threw some light on the prestigious legacy of Arena Animation in the field of Animation and VFX education and its presence in 20 Countries with an employment driven approach to make the students skilled and industry-ready.

Rohit Singh Sengar
Rohit is a senior VR/AR Designer and Developer. He was previously associated with eminent entertainment and film companies and was a part of many Hollywood and Hollywood movies, among which Conan The Barbarian, John Carter Of Mars, Don 2, Smurf 2, and Amazing SpiderMan (2014) are some of his notable projects.
Rohit enlightened students with the information about the History of Virtual Reality, how VR headsets such as Oculus Rift, Quest Samsung Gear VR, HTC Vive, Google Daydream View, or Google Cardboard create and support an environment for VR and in what manner, the technology is then supported by head and body tracking to connect the virtual world to what the user is seeing.
He also explained many technical aspects of VR like what is non-Immersive, Semi-Immersive and Fully Immersive Virtual Reality and its applications in: military, medical, gaming, movies, training and education etc.
As a senior VFX expert and having more than 15 years of experience in the media industry, Shantanu has been consistently training new minds, who aspire to make their careers in this field and started the session on a similar note. He talked about the history of usage of VFX in the Media and Entertainment Industry, its adoption and its relevancy in the Indian Entertainment Industry.
Shantanu also gave insights about the VFX Industry as far as today’s scenario of Movies and Web Series is concerned and technical aspects involved in their post-production process, using VFX.
The things discussed by these experts gave crystal clear insights to the participants related to the VFX, VR and Animation industry and provided them with the answers to their queries. The participants also got to know about the Alumni of Arena working with various Hollywood and Bollywood projects and how Arena Portfolio Management is helping the students to showcase their creativity and talent to the masses.
The participants also tried their hands on VR and experienced the world of VR through the head-mounted VR setup. Overall, all the participants and experts enjoyed this fun loaded knowledge sharing and enriched their knowledge, being a part of it.
