We are happy to announce the launch of our AICTE-approved and RGPV Affiliated Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme on Friday, 23rd September 2022. Design has largely been considered predominantly as a field of fashion and interior designers in and around Indore. But with the advent of Metaverse and the huge strides in AVGC industry, designers in the field of Communication Design, Graphics Design, UI/UX Design, Industrial Design and Product Design are in huge demand. Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes with an intent to disseminate skills in this domain has launched these programmes at SAIT, Indore.
To deliver international exposure in this domain, SAIT has signed MoU with International Skill Development Corporation, an organisation based out of London UK which is a leading International Provider for British Education and Skills and is working with the UK Skills Federation, Scottish Qualifications Authority, large number Universities. In the design domain; ISDC is working with the leading UK Universities and professional bodies such as the World Design Council, Chartered Society of Designers, World Design Organisation etc. ISDC also is working in partnership with the leading Indian Universities to promote International Design Education.
Sri Aurobindo Group of Institute hosted a grand MoU exchange and inauguration of Center for Design Studies.
The logo of Center for Design Studies was also launched at the event.
Amongst the illuminating dignitaries were Mr Shone Babu, head of partnership ISDC, Teresa Jacob, executive director learning ISDC Virtually connected from UK, Miss Usha Iyer, academic head creative collaboration and online program, and Mr Varunan Balasubramanyam, Project head ISDC.
From the family of Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes, Mr Kinshuk Trivedi, General Secretary, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Management Science & Technology Society, Indore, Mrs Chani Trivedi, Director Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes and Dr Durgesh Mishra, Director, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology, Indore were present.
Mr Shone Babu briefed about ISDC and how it works for skill development. He also prominently appreciated the initiative of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology and its wonderful infrastructure. Ms Teresa Jacob enlightened about design education specifically in India and globally also. Ms Usha Iyer highlighted the prospects of design at the local as well as the national level. Mr Varunun Balasubramanyam threw light on the importance and impact of a design career.
The General Secretary of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Management Science & Technology Society, Indore, Mr Kinshuk Trivedi stressed the importance of design and his vision and action plan and efforts to excel in this field.
Dr Durgesh Mishra, Director, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology, articulated the significance of design in the modern era as skill is the need of the hour. He also informed that it is his and Mr Kinshuk sir’s persistent and strenuous efforts that culminate into this establishment that will provide students with a better learning platform and career prospects.
