The Republic Day event at Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes campus was memorable. The entire campus was decorated with tricolor, and students and staff were dressed in traditional attire to celebrate India’s 74th Republic Day. The Campus ground, the venue for the event, was packed to the brink with students and staff members eager to pay their respects to the nation.
Mr. Umesh Trivedi ji, Chairman – Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes, Mrs. Rashmi Trivedi, Vice Chairperson – Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes, Mr. Mahendra Joshi & Dr. Suman Goyal – Member of Board – Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes along with Mr. Kinshuk Trivedi – General Secretary – Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes, and Mrs. Chani Trivedi – Chairperson – Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes and Director – Nordic High International School were the invited dignitaries of the event.
The celebration began with the unfurling of the national flag by the respective dignitary – Mr. Umesh Trivedi, in the presence of Dr. Durgesh Kumar Mishra, Director – Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology, followed by National Anthem. Then, the dignitaries were offered floral bouquets as a formal welcome to the celebration. Finally, a video presentation was made depicting the life and contribution Mr. Umesh Trivedi has made towards society and the institution’s growth.
After the video, Mr. Umesh Trivedi ji was invited to deliver encouragement and a message for Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes students and members. He gave a motivating speech to boost the morale of students and the staff. Mr. Trivedi summarized the speech focusing on unity and improving our society and country. In his words, “Our young generation is filled with energy and has the power to change the world. However, I would not request you, since you are all like my children, I ‘expect’ you all to do great things for the betterment of this institution, this society and the country as a whole”, and wish everyone the best for their future.
A patriotic video presentation on National War Memorial followed the speech of Mr. Trivedi. There were also various cultural performances, such as patriotic songs, dances, and speeches by students, followed by special solo song performances by faculty members from Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy and Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology. This also included a special presentation segment – ‘Know Our Flag’- that discussed several hidden facts about our national flag’s history.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepti Upadhyay.
It was a day of pride, patriotism and joy for everyone in the college. The entire college celebrated Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was a day that will be remembered for years to come.
